Itinerary -
Day 01: Gangtok Arrival
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport, our representative will be there to meet and greet you and transfer you to Gangtok (5,480 ft.). On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure. An overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast in the morning, we will start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), which are about 55 km one way from Gangtok city. After exploring the lake and the temple, return back to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Gangtok – Lachen (118 Kms/6 hrs)
In the morning, we will drive to Lachen (9,400 ft, 118 km). On the way, we will visit Seven Sister Waterfalls. Later, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Check in at the hotel in the late afternoon. Rest of the day is free to relax followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Lachen.
Day 04: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake (40 kms each side) – Lachung (44 kms/2 hrs)
Today morning, we will drive towards Gurudongmar Lake (17,000ft). Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest situated lakes in North Sikkim. The altitude here is may cause breathing problem so be careful. Later return back to the hotel and leave for Lachung. Enjoy an overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 05: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion (21 kms each side) – Gangtok (118 kms/6 hrs)
After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to Yumthang Valley which is also known as the Valley of Flowers (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hours one way). On the way back, we will visit the hot spring which is considered to have medicinal properties. Later return back to hotel & leave for Gangtok. An overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok - Pelling (120 kms / 5 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast, we will transfer you to Pelling (6,100 ft.). On arrival, check-in to your pre booked hotel. In the afternoon, we will take a half day tour of Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. An overnight stay at the hotel in Pelling.
Day 07: Pelling – NJP Railway Station/IXB Airport (148 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast in the morning, we will leave Pelling for NJP Railway Station /Bagdogra Airport to catch the train/ flight along with sweet memories for the onward destination.

Situated at an altitude of 3753m, Tsomgo or Changu Lake is considered by the locals due to its changing colours. Also, the lake is the home to several birds including the Brahminy Ducks, also the migratory birds like to make this lake and area around it as their temporary home. The nearby Baba Mandir, which is dedicated to a soldier will also be visited by you.
En route the famed Seven Sister Waterfall, we shall make it to Lachen, a small rustic village in North Sikkim. This is an ideal place to visit for those seeking tranquility and unperturbed holiday amidst nature. A short distance from Lachen is Sikkim’s highest lake, Gurudongmar situated at an altitude of 5181m. Surrounded by snow-clad lofty Himalayan Mountains, this lake looks like a piece that has fallen from heaven. The lake is considered sacred by Buddhists as it is believed that Guru Padmasambhav visited here in 8th century. Spending some time here in silence is truly a way to rejuvenate oneself.
Our next destination would be Lachung, another scenic village in North Sikkim. Blessed with nature’s best, this place can be any nature lovers fantasy. It is one of those places where lazy afternoons can be spent basking in warm sun. We will be visiting the beautiful valley of Yumthang that is known for a plethora of flowers and rightly termedas the Valley of Flowers.
Our final destination would be Pelling, which is neatly tucked in West Sikkim. We will first return to Gangtok, in order to reach our fourth and final destination. Pelling is known for offering breathtaking vistas of Mt.Kanchenjunga. In our itinerary we would also include Darap Village, Rimbi Water Falls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzongha Waterfalls to visit around the scenic Pelling.

Gangtok like Darjeeling follows similar trends in weather through the year. Although there are some differences in temperature and rainfall between the two places, the overall weather change takes place in tandem in both these two places. So a good season in Gangtok is also a good season in Darjeeling. And this is one main reason why most tourists combine a visit of Gangtok with Darjeeling.
